Na crvenom tepihu, famoznoj modnoj reviji filmskog glamur svijeta, ovaj put je prevladavala crna boja, što je bio simbolični izraz protiv seksualnog napastovanja u Hollywoodu, čije se otkrivanje poput lavine počelo događati prošle godine.
O tome je emotivno govorila dobitnica počasne nagrade Cecil B. DeMille za životno djelo, slavna TV voditeljica i glumica Oprah Winfrey, čiji video nastup bilježi hiljade komentara na mrežama.
Slavodobitnik sinoćnje 75. dodjele nagrada Zlatni globus je drama ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri‘ (Tri plakata ispred Ebbinga u Missouriju): dobio je ukupno četiri trofeja, za najbolju dramu, najbolji scenarij, najbolju glumicu (Frances McDormand) i najboljeg sporednog glumca (Sam Rockwell).
